Biogas Regions

Profiting from countries like Germany and Austria with a rapidly growing market of biogas plants, the organised knowledge transfer and sharing of experience enabled a rapid uptake in less developed regions. The mobilisation of positive synergies between the different sectors (local authorities, farmers and food processing industries) and their concrete project implication increased biogas plants realisations. A strong focus was set on awareness-raising and training activities targeted to the regional key players and stakeholders. Regional strategies and action plans for the development of biogas production have also been developed.
