This project is one project of the flagship region WIVA P & G, which deal with the production of green hydrogen by means of PEM electrolysis.
The project "Renewable Gasfield" should particularly demonstrate the manifold possibilities of using hydrogen and its integration into the energy system. The development of the versatile system infrastructure focuses on the consideration of regional conditions.
In a previous project RSA Optfuel, this technology was implemented with a direct link to an existing biogas plant on a pilot scale, in the "Renewable Gasfield" the methanisation technology is used on a large scale.
The project "UpHy I" (Upscaling of Green Hydrogen for Mobility and Industry) is an essential building block for the development of hydrogen mobility in Austria. UpHy I "deals with the development of green hydrogen production and distribution as well as with the required calibration measurement of hydrogen quantity and quality. Due to the development of official calibration methods of the gas quality and delivery quantity, a continuous expansion of the hydrogen filling station network is to be made possible.
The exploratory project WIVA P & G shows how a hydrogen-based flagship region could work and be optimally implemented.
ENTRAIN main objective is to promote structural cooperation between public authorities and key stakeholders at transnational level and to build-up skills and know-how for a systematic, holistic and efficient planning of small DH systems within 5 target regions (IT, DE, HR, SI, PL), based on renewable heat sources, i.e. solar, biomass, waste heat, heat pumps and geothermal.
