The klimaaktiv Bauen und Sanieren programme of the Federal Ministry for Climate Protection, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology (BMK) supports the goal of climate neutrality by 2040 in the field of energy-efficient new buildings and high-quality refurbishment in Austria. In order to make the quality of a building measurable and comparable, the klimaaktiv building standard was developed. It stands for buildings that meet particularly high requirements in terms of energy efficiency and ecology as well as professional design.
