CleanAir II

Continuation of the successful project “CleanAir by Biomass”

Over the last decades a lot of research and development work has been done in the field of biomass heating systems regarding the reduction of harmful exhaust gases and an increase of efficiency.

The project CleanAir by biomass has already shown that there is great potential in the user behavior regarding cleaner heating. Therefore, it is the stated aim of CleanAir II to sustainably strengthen the public awareness regarding cleaner air by using domestic biomass. The project tries to reach this aim by means of mobile infrastructure, awareness building, citizen science and involvement of local and regional stakeholders as well as education institutions.

FireMonitor-app – optimize your heating behaviour

Within the project CleanAir II we developed the so called FireMonitor-app for smartphones. With the app your heating behaviour is documented. Due to this data all participants will receive feedback on how to optimize their heating behaviour to reduce emissions.
