CleanAir by Biomass
In the last decades, biomass heating systems for private households were continuously further developed and dangerous exhaust gases were eliminated. In this project, the efficiency of biomass technologies will be tested under real life conditions. Therefore, old biomass heating systems will be changed and the new ones monitored for several heating periods. Additionally, the heating system users will be trained and the heating system will continuously be optimized in terms of on-site inspections and consultations.
These measures shall ensure a significant exhaust gas reduction and contribute to a better air quality in the area of Vorau. The results of the project will serve as foundation for future administrational decisions in funding cases and strategy developments.
The end of the project will be in February 2019. It received fundings in the course of the COMET-programme of FFG.
