Subsidy of energy (–efficient) spatial planning in Styria

For the first time there is a Styrian subsidy for municipal energy (–efficient) spatial planning from the Ökofonds. Within the framework of this new call for tenders, support will be provided for the creation of a Conception in the area of Energy (SKE), feasibility studies and concepts for the implementation of the SKE, as well as preparatory work and tendering for implementation plans. Submissions are possible since 3 August 2018.
With the focus "G" of the Climate and Energy Strategy Steiermark 2030 energy-optimized settlement structures are considered. The consolidation of existing settlements and the strengthening of town centers and energy (–efficient) spatial planning are to be reinforced in the future.
A first step in this direction was created with the call for tender "Promotion of energy (–efficient) spatial planning in Styria".
The goal is on the one hand to bring together spatial-, energy- and traffic-planners to develop climate-friendly concepts for their implementation and on the other hand to raise public awareness. Thus, necessary measures, such as compact settlement structures in which living, working, supplying, recovering, developing, etc., are organized in a narrow spatial context, should be supported. A forward-looking local spatial planning with the implementation of energy-efficient and / or renewable energy solutions and a commitment to this, especially at regional level, can make a significant contribution to a limited global warming and thus to our grandchildren's future" emphasizes the Styrian provincial council Anton Lang.
The submission is possible on the online platform of the Energy Agency Styria since 3 August 2018.
The invitation to tender, as well as further information on the submission and the topic of energy planning can be found on the Ich tu's homepage for energy planning.
